| Update 2008-08-06: I've
started my own stratum
1 NTP servers using a pair of HP-58503A
GPSDO time references. Also joined pool.ntp.org
to contribute serving the infra-structure of internet as public
open-access stratum 1 servers with
very accurate timing. You can reach them at ntp1.openbsd.se or ntp2.openbsd.se
for
syncronisation.
Please no abuse, update max once every minute and never use burst
mode, iburst is fine... |
| QSL
is now okay via the burea because SSA finally allowed non-members to
buy the QSL service, or direct as before... |
Here is my VHF EME/MS projects page. Have always been interested in this and finally decided to try it out. Started 2008 to get antennas and rotators, rigs and linear. Right now I am using a single 5wl 17el M2 yagi 10m AGL and is active on MS/EME and CW Aurora. This spring I hope I can start putting together some new antennas and planning where and how to get several towers up. As many of you have seen, I sold of all my HF gear after being QRV for +30 years. Its no challenge anymore and by starting with VHF, I have lots to learn and experiment with. For me ham radio is a continuous evolution. When I can't do more on HF with the voodoo audio, I quickly started looking for new challenges... Whats next is getting all of my VHF projects working. The new EME/MS array will be my 2 x 8WL M2 21el yagis I have in the garage. Around 20dbd gain and huge 17m long booms :) A big steg forward compared with running the single 5wl as I do today with around 13.7dbd gain after losses. At a later date I will probably switch to 4 x xp32 M2 16el cross yagis. Also have 4 x 7el 1.3wl yagis I am planning to make a small bay stack for general vhf usage with 16.3dbd gain. A experimental DX array is ready to be assembled, consisting of 16 x 3el 28 ohm DK7ZB yagis stacked vertically on a 16.7m boom. Got the antennas as kits and now have 30kg of aluminum to assemble on a rainy day :) Several of these arrays stacked will give a tremendous gain and yet wide opening angle. I am also planning to make them cross yagis for more versatile use. Fun project to play with. 73's de Peter / SM5HUA <email> SM5HUA Equipment: --------------------------- Icom IC-910H with 2m/70cm/23cm and all options installed.
